Michael is an Arizona native, born and raised in Phoenix. He married his high school sweetheart 33 years ago and raised two sons who have “left the nest” to live their own lives.
His first career was the family business, a commercial flooring and stonework company started by his grandfather in 1942. After 13 years, he realized working in the family business was not for him, and left to “tinker with computers.” He attended DeVry Institute of Technology for Computer Information Systems (CIS) and has been in the IT field for 22 years.
Always curious, Michael wants to know how things work, how they are made, and what is on the other side of that hill.
Michael has been active in Scouting for most of his life and currently serves as Scout leader for Troop 30 Grand Canyon Council. He also volunteers for the US Forest Service doing road and trail inspection and maintenance in the Tonto National Forest. A major goal is to travel the world and experience the cultures and people.
